File:David S. Soriano (2018).jpg is used on his user page on meta, and should probably be kept. Otherwise, offhand, everything here looks out-of-scope. - Jmabel ! talk 22:11, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
 Delete. A lot of these look like the glitchy, deformed output you get when you set an image generation network like Stable Diffusion to the wrong output resolution. None of it seems likely to be useful to illustrate educational content. Omphalographer (talk) 05:01, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Comment I'd like to contribute to this discussion as a learning experience, but please keep in mind that I am a complete novice and I may be very wrong in my views. But I want be bold here and offer the opinion that most the works nominated for deletion do in fact, for me, very much convey a science fiction message. The category description says nothing about the content needing "educational value" as was suggested in the discussion. Furthermore, it could be argued that virtually all art does in fact have at least some educational value. However, I would agree that "Cubism Medical Robotics Team" does not seem to contain any science fiction elements, whatsoever. "Becoming a Planet" seems to fall short too. And "Medical Robots Post-op" does not seem to possess any science fiction elements, either. I can understand a desire for removal of those, others may disagree. I would suggest a compromise, an agreement on the most "egregious" violators and retain the others that overtly and quite obviously do contain science fiction elements. It would be hard to argue that "1950's Spaceman" or "1950's Science Fiction Art UAP and Death Rays" don't contain obvious science fiction elements, they certainly do. To sum, I can't agree that all the items selected for deletion are "out of scope images" or are "badly categorized" since they seem to meet the minimum classification requirements, though a few clearly don't as already noted. "Afrofuturist Woman in Space" by a different creator doesn't strike me as an obvious work of science fiction, yet it doesn't seem to be up for deletion. And frankly, I don't know how one can claim that these works are by a non-notable author, they are in a category that is supposed to be for AI generated art--notable AI? At worst, the creator doesn't seem to have followed the suggested attribution protocol of assigning attribution to the AI system that created it. Personally, I find most of the items in question to be rather appealing, properly classed, and a nice category fit. Seriously, I've seen some very badly classed items in Wiki, but most items here seem well placed to me. That's it, feel free to put me in my place, there may be info I'm missing and therefore I'm misunderstanding something important. Please let me know, thanks :) Jerry M Pearson (talk)

  •  Delete the unused images as COM:NOTHOST, the minimal usage of these images shows that they are not realistically useful illustrations of anything, irrespective of whether they were AI generated or created through a manual, digital process.  Keep File:David S. Soriano (2018).jpg and the handful of photographs of art materials (eg. File:Oil Bar (Stick) Paint Formulation Development.jpg; looks like any filename containing the word "oil" or "acrylic") which have been incorrectly placed into this category - it appears the user had declined to categorise the images as AI despite repeated talk page requests to do so, and User:Trade batched all of the user's uploads beyond a particular date, including some photos, into the category in March 2023.
Soriano has started categorising their uploads as Category:AI Art or Category:AI, since then, and I've moved all 181 of these into the discussed category:
